Colossians 3:15 (NKJV) 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
We are about two months into this coronavirus pandemic, I know many of us are becoming anxious. Maybe you have a job that has been negatively affected, maybe you are nervous because of a compromised immune system, maybe you have friends or family members that have contracted the virus, we are all coming at this thing from a different angle. It is probably safe to say that we all have different experiences in regards to this situation. The one thing we can all be thankful for through all of this… the sun came up again today. What Are You Going To Do With This Day? The Lord just provided us with another day. Hopefully, He will give us another tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day. But the point is, we do not know the time nor day He will return. Matthew 24:36 (36) “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only... Since the Lord provided us with one more day, what can we do with it? Spread The Gospel 1 Peter 3:15 reminds us… (15) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear… We should be in a continual state of sanctifying the Lord in our hearts while being ready to give the reason for our hope. Be thankful for the Lord and then spread the hope you have to those around you. Love 1 Corinthians 16:14 (14) Let all that you do be done with love… Let ALL that you do be done in love. Interesting right? It does not say let your evangelism be done in love, it does not say let your parenting be done in love, or your volunteering to be done in love, it says all things. Standing in the line of 60 people to get into Walmart this morning, let that be done in love. I bring this up as a reminder because that is the place I fail the most lately. But seriously, let all that you do be done in love. Praise Of course, we should be spreading the Gospel, and we absolutely should be loving those around us, but that all starts with giving Him praise for all that He has done for us. If we start the day (the day that He has provided) with praise, it will naturally lead to the love centered spreading of God’s promise. Psalm 150:6 reminding us… (6) Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD! Closing Thoughts: The Lord has given us one more day. One more day to praise Him, one more day to love, one more day to reach the lost, let’s take advantage in thankfulness for this one more day! 2 Corinthians 4:15 (NKJV) 15 For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
