Daniel 4:2 (NKJV)
2 I thought it good to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has worked for me.
Think about the life of Daniel, the times that God had worked in his life were innumerable. We may look at our life and think our story cannot compare to that of Daniel, or Joseph, or Paul, or John, but the truth is God is working throughout each of our lives in very different ways. There is power in our testimony, but only when we share it.
Be His Witness
Not all of us have the gift to preach, not all of us will travel the world evangelizing, few of us will combine those talents as Billy Graham did, but we all have a story and we can all tell that story. Acts 1:8 encourages us… (8) But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth… We are called to be His witness, what better way than to tell everyone what the Lord has done in your life? You may be very surprised to find out the impact your story could have on the lives of those around you.
Defend The Faith
1 Peter 3:15 tells us… (15) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear… We are being called to defend the faith during one of the most difficult times in history to do so. While the world has clearly turned its back on its Creator, there has never been a time when it was more important to defend the faith with all we have. The world needs what you already have!
Here is a challenge to everyone that reads this devotional. Today, think about your testimony, then put it to paper. Explain your past, explain the role Jesus played in your conversion from darkness to light, and explain what your life looks like today. Really let the world know what Jesus has done, and is continuing to do in you. Then take a huge step of faith and post it to your preferred social media platform. If you are following The Morning Cup of Jesus on Facebook, post your testimony in the comment section for this devotional. You will be surprised what an impact it can have on your family and friends. Jesus has done a mighty work in all of us, it is time to share that with everyone!
It’s your story, share it!
Mark 5:19 (NKJV)
19 However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.”
