What If...

Romans 11:36 (NKJV)

36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Life can be full of what if’s. What if I had accepted that scholarship to play soccer? What if I had only applied myself more in college? What if I had invested better? What if… what if… what if. Many of our what if’s are is in the past and we can no longer do anything about them. We face a number of what if’s in our walk with Christ, praise the Lord we can do something about them right now!

What If We Gave Glory To God?

Romans 11:36 tells us that for Him and through Him are all things and for that, there should be glory forever. I can absolutely say amen to that! Is that where your heart is today though? Are you living a life that gives glory and honor to the Lord? He after Hebrews 5:9 reminds us that He is the author of our eternal salvation. Is there a better gift than that? I proclaim not!

What If We Were To Abide In God?

John 15:5 (5) explains… “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing”… If we were to abide in Him, we would bear much fruit. A deeper look at this shows why there would be more fruit. If we were to abide in the Lord, it would lead to a more pure life. Those around us would then see what a spirit-filled life would look like. They would also see the reward in it. They would then want that in their life as well. What if we were to abide in God? Well, we would produce more godly fruit!

What If We Were To Truly Walk By Faith?

2 Corinthians 5:7 (7) For we walk by faith, not by sight... What if we took each step of each day in full dependence upon the Lord? If we are walking by sight, oh how troublesome! We cannot see God, but we can certainly see the works of the enemy! Instead, we must walk in faith understanding that our faithfulness will be rightfully rewarded.

Closing Thoughts:

There are so many what if’s in life, many of which we cannot control. What if we were to put God in His proper place in our life? That is a “what if” we control each and every day! Put God first in all things, seek after His kingdom, and we will be rewarded for our faith!

1 John 1:7 (NKJV)

7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
